One more patient has died from the COVID-19 infection while 14 others have been discharged as of Sunday morning having fully recovered and their second tests returned negative in Bauchi State.
With the reported death, Bauchi now has a total of 11 deaths arising from COVID-19 infection complications just as 8 new confirmed cases were reported after being tested positive with signs and symptoms of the disease out of the 113 results that were initially sent for investigation at a molecular laboratory in Bauchi.
Information from BAUCHI COVID-19 SITUATION REPORT indicated that there are 155 active cases who are hospitalized just as the current NCDC Data as of Saturday, 13th June 2020 ranked the state number 10 in the country with 410 confirmed cases of COVID – 19.
The report further contained that 168 samples have so far been sent for investigation to determine their COVID-19 status.
As of Saturday, 13th June 2020, the Case Fatality Rate stands at 2.6% indicating a drop in Fatalities by 1% while So far, 2,614 samples had been scientifically examined by the Lab with 410 to be the current total confirmed persons who have been infected with the Coronavirus in the state.

The reported added that With the report of 14 recoveries, at the moment 244 have so far been discharged from the hospitals after their second round of sample tests returned negative.
It then warned that “COVID19 is Real, So many of our health workers are risking their lives to protect the rest of us Take Responsibility Be supportive and stop the spread of fake news.”
“Coronavirus is killing our relatives silently as a result of denying the existence of the disease. Do you know that not all the deaths are being reported by the media? Do your best to protect yourself and take the advice given by the health experts to ensure controlling the spread of the Coronavirus,” it advocated.
With the current development, the Total number of confirmed positive cases in the state so far is 410 while the Total number of people so far on the hospital’s admission receiving treatment stands at 155.
