COVID-19: Bauchi discharges 33, records 7 new positive cases

Another batch of 33 patients has been discharged from the hospital after their sample tests returned negative of COVID-19 infection in Bauchi.

Also, 7 new confirmed positive cases were reported which shows that the new approach adopted to fight the pandemic in the state is working particularly in terms of surveillance, case management and contact tracing processes.

With the new development, The total samples investigated was 149 which brought the total number of confirmed cases to 438 as of Thursday, 18th June 2020.

Also as at the same date, 105 patients are domiciled at the various designated health facilities across the state while the State maintains 2.5% representing the entire case fatality rate of 11 recorded death.

Information from the BAUCHI COVID-19 SITUATION REPORT contained that, “As you go for work or business, wear a face mask, wash your hands with soap and clean water, stay at least 2 metres away from another person. Take responsibility”.

As of the date of the situation update, the Total number of Discharged persons so far in the state stood at 322 Total number of confirmed cases in the state so far 438 with 105 active cases that are currently receiving treatment at the various health facilities across the state.
