AN Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday ordered the remand of Mmaduabuchi Okeke, 33, at the Ikoyi Prisons, pending legal advice from the Office of the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The Magistrate, Mrs A.S. Okubule, ruled that Okeke is remanded for the next 30 days.
The plea of the accused was not taken by the court.
Earlier, Insp. Chinalu Uwadione had told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 28, 2016, at the Bereko Area of Badagry.
He said that the accused allegedly shot one Mohammed Obadina, 50, a.k.a. Alfa Mustafa, on his neck with a gun.

The offence violates Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 which carries a death sentence, if found guilty.
Okubule, however, adjourned the case until March 30, for the DPP’s advice.
