As part of its efforts to protect the people, especially school children against the deadly Coronavirus, the Ekiti State government has commenced the distribution of hand sanitisers to public primary and secondary across the 16 local government areas of the state.
The State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Mr Foluso Daramola, who supervised the distribution of the items to the first set of schools in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital on Wednesday called on School Administrators to ensure that the sanitizers were used solely for the purpose they were meant.
Daramola assured that government would leave no stone unturned in its effort at preventing the deadly disease from rearing its ugly head in the state.

He appealed to parents and guardians to keep sick children away from schools, adding that rather, urgent medical attention should be sought for such children.
He advised parents to call the emergency number 112 should they suspect their wards showing any sign of flu while appealing to teachers and parents to cultivate the habit of proper handwashing every time.
” Touching surfaces and visit the lavatories and those who had the habit of touching their mouth, eyes, nose and ears with their hands should stop henceforth,” he said.
