Former Coronation Street actress, Sacha Parkinson has announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl named Sadie.
The 32-year-old, best known for playing Sian Power on the ITV soap, revealed she gave birth last week. She shared the news on Instagram, posting black and white photos of her newborn.
Parkinson captioned the sweet snaps: “1 whole week of Sadie,” revealing both the name and birth timing of her daughter.
The monochrome images gave fans their first glimpse of baby Sadie. The post was quickly met with congratulations from fans and co-stars.
Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, commented: “Gorgeous. Hope you’re all ok.”
Soap and Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach added: “Soooooo beautiful congratulations.”
Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, wrote: “Oooooh wow congratulations. How wonderful. She’s so beautiful.”
Parkinson first announced her pregnancy in December 2024, posting Polaroid bump photos on Christmas Eve. She told fans 2025 was going to be a “wild” year.
The baby news follows her engagement to fiancé Jon in 2023. The couple got engaged during a holiday after Jon proposed.
Parkinson played Sian Power from 2008 to 2011. Her character formed the show’s first lesbian couple with Sophie Webster, played by Brooke Vincent—a major moment in Coronation Street history.
Since leaving the soap, Parkinson has appeared in Waterloo Road, Mr Selfridge, Cold Feet, and more recently, the 2023 ITVX thriller Platform 7.
She’s not the only former Corrie star with baby news. Michelle Keegan and husband Mark Wright recently welcomed their daughter, Palma Elizabeth Wright, on March 6. The couple has since shared intimate photos of their baby’s first month.
