Alhaji Murtala Musa Galamawa, who is also the Chairman of the Jigawa State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), commended the coalition’s selection committee for its objectivity and non-partisanship during the selection process.
According to the chairman, “What qualified Honourable Abubakar Makki Yalleman for this award includes empowering 10,000 women with cash to improve their small businesses, with each receiving N100,000.00 or N50,000.00 respectively; connecting 20 towns and villages in the two local government areas he represents with the national grid, which has significantly boosted petty businesses such as welding and preserving cold water.”
Galamawa further stated that the lawmaker distributed about five trailer loads of fertilizer to farmers within the constituency, installed solar power in about 30 towns and villages, constructed five roads linking five villages across the two local governments, and provided five health facilities for constituents.
“He employed over 1,000 youths into vigilante groups, each with a salary of N30,000.00. Additionally, 20 villages were supplied with clean drinking water,” Galamawa emphasized.
The chairman also explained that the committee’s findings revealed that the lawmaker has surpassed all other lawmakers in the state, past and present, in terms of securing jobs for youths in the military, police, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and customs.
He stressed that the lawmaker has secured jobs for 1,080 youths across the state in the Federal Civil Service. Specifically, 800 youths were recruited into the police, 200 into the army, air force, and navy, 30 into the Federal Fire Service, and 120 into the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Responding after receiving the award on behalf of the lawmaker, Habibu Sani Sara expressed happiness and promised continued empowerment for the constituents.
