The candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the last governorship election in Oyo State, Mr Hakeem Alao, has felicitated Christians and the people of the state on the occasion of this year’s Christmas.
In a statement from his office, the politician implored the Christian faithful to use this period to pray for the state and extend hands of fellowship to neighbours and others around them.
While noting that over the years, the people of the state had lived in harmony, he called for the sustenance of religious tolerance and togetherness.

Alao urged government at all levels to work for the people with due regard for the rule of law and particularly advised the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration in Oyo State to work with a sustainable policy which, he said, was the hallmark of good governance.
“While felicitating with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), other Christian bodies, traditional rulers and the entire people of Oyo State, I wish Governor Seyi Makinde a happy birthday, merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance,” the AD chieftain said.
