The Cross River State Government Security outfit code-named ‘Operation Akpakwu’ has arrested some kidnappers in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of the state.
Some of the names identified include Etinyin Akamba Eyo, a.k.a 30 30, who is the Clan Head of Ikot Atambi in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of the State including his son and wife.
Also, his two houses were demolished by the security operatives after the arrest.
Tribune Online found out that his shrine where kidnappers and militants were fortified at Akpabuyo was also invaded by the security operatives and destroyed.
According to Operation Akpakwu, the Chief and Clan confessed that his son was involved in high profile kidnapping in and around Akpabuyo.
Another location under the control of the kidnappers, Plot 24c in Satellite Town Calabar, where a kidnapped victim was released a few months ago was also demolished.
