The authorities of the Christ Apostolic Church have set a seven-year target to expand the capacity of the church in order to equip it for the mission of reaching the unreached people in various communities.
General Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor James Onagwa, stated this while welcoming pastors in the mission to the 2019 Annual Pastors Conference at Alasepe Prayer Mountain, Ikire, Osun State, last week.
Pastor Onagwa said within the next seven years, the target is to raise evangelists from every tribe and tongue to reach the unreached with the gospel of Christ.
According to him, “within 10 years, God willing, we will reach every family under the sun to the extent that every family will have a CAC member in their homes. This is because we are divinely saddled with the responsibility of bringing this world back to God who cherishes holiness and Godliness.”
Pastor Onagwa, who noted that neglect of the womenfolk in evangelism had caused a lot of setback, said the new authorities of the church had resolved to empower them for world evangelisation, adding that every hand must be on deck to move the mission forward and restore God’s glory back to the church.
Speaking on discipline among ministers, the General Superintendent said: “As we had pointed out at the beginning of this new administration, we will ensure we embark on practical staff discipline as one of the means for our structural development in all centres.
“All ministers with questionable character whose ministry had brought shame and disrepute to our mission may be advised to withdraw their services or seek other employment or in the alternative, start their own ministry outside Christ Apostolic Church,” Onagwa said.
President, Christ Apostolic Church worldwide, Pastor Henry Ojo, noted that the missionary had significant achievements between the last year and now, reiterating that the church would continue to strengthen the capacity of ministers within the mission.
The CAC President urged politicians in the country to work on the nation’s security as kidnappings and killings have become the order of the day in the country.
