Buhari receives Bayelsa governor-elect, Lyon

President Muhammadu Buhari has received the governor-elect of Bayelsa State, David Lyon.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in last Saturday’s election, was led to the presidential villa, Abuja by the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, governors of Jigawa and Kebbi States, Abubakar Badaru and Atiku Bagudu, respectively and minister of state for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva.

Lyon, who was declared the winner of the Bayelsa poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), told State House correspondents that he will accord priority to security and development of Bayelsa State when sworn in.

He said he will serve the citizens of the state and not the other way round.
