Buhari in early lead in Kaduna

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari is in the early lead in the just concluded Saturday presidential election in Kaduna State.

From the results so far released by INEC Buhari is leading the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) Atiku Abubakar in 8 of the 13 local governments of the state.

According to INEC official, Professor Bello B. Shehu, Buhari has so far won in Kubau, Makarfi, Kudan, Sabon Gari, Ikara, Kauru, Giwa and Soba local government areas.

While, the PDP candidate won in Zango Kataf, Kaura, Kajuru, Kagarko and Jaba local government areas.

As at the adjournment of the collation exercise around 2:10 am, results from the last 10 local government areas were being awaited.

The exercise is expected to resume by 9:00 am today (Monday).
