THE Nigerian Police, again, on Monday, engaged the members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shi’ite, at the Central Area, Federal Secretariat, Abuja, leaving many IMN members seriously injured.
Tribune Online reliably gathered that members of the IMN had assembled to commence their usual procession in protest to press for the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakyzaky, who had been incarcerated since December, 2015 by the Federal Government, before the security operatives demobilised them.
When contacted, on phone, one of the leaders of the group, Abdullahi Musa, told the Tribune Online that many of their members sustained various degrees of injuries.
