BREAKING: Nigerian reportedly killed in Ukranian plane crash says ‘I’m alive!’

• Vows to sue media houses, blogger behind fake news

A Nigerian, Mr Adeleye Olayinka Bernard, whose picture went viral as one of the victims onboard the Ukranian Boeing aircraft that was brought down by Iranian missiles last Wednesday, January 8th, 2020, has come out to declare that he is alive.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos today, Bernard said he and his family have become traumatised since the news of his death in the crash broke out, vowing to take legal actions against the media organisations and bloggers who spread the fake news.

He spoke through his attorney, Mr Femi Martins, who described the act as irresponsible blogging and journalism which he said is a “national embarrassment for the fact that most of the captions of the fake publications had the name of the country, Nigeria.”

Bernard called on the federal government to sanction such misdemeanour among those saddled with the responsibility of disseminating information.
