Nnamdi Kanu
The Federal Government has just announced that the self-acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested by joint security agencies.
He was said to have been arrested on Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, made the disclosure in a joint press briefing with heads of the department of security services and the police.
Malami further disclosed that Kanu would be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja for the continuation of his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.
Kanu is presently being awaited to be brought to Justice Binta’s court at the time of filing this report.
