In a unanimous voice vote, all the lawmakers voted “yes” to confirm Justice Akon Ikpeme as state chief judge some minutes before noon on Thursday.
When asked when the new chief judge stopped being a security threat as was initially alleged, Speaker of the House, Hon. Eteng Jones, told Tribune Online that: “The House of Assembly never said she was a security threat. We never did.”
