Senior Pastor, Worksword of God Church, Ibadan, Pastor Gabriel Adegboye, has said the country’s efforts to tackle insurgency wouldcontinue to be futile except government committed the battle to God.
According to Adegboye, in his new year declarations, no local or foreign military engagement can eliminate Boko Haram except government involves God in the battle.

He said the neglect that the battle against insurgency was God’s own battle was reason for the continued loss of lives and properties to insurgency.
“God said to me there is no way Boko Haram can be conquered without Him. All my yearly declarations since 2011 are the same on security. Imagine how many lives and property Nigeria has lost to insurgents.
“Military personnel and sophisticated war equipment got lost and wasted over the years. It is the Lord’s battle and nobody, not even foreign military support, can eliminate Boko Haram without God’s involvement.
“The Boko crisis is a spiritual attack on this country. It came from North Africa. This group attacked Egypt and removed Mubarak, their former President; they attacked Tanzania; they attacked Libya and succeeded in killing their President, Muamar Ghaddafi. On their way to Nigeria, they attacked Mali and Niger republic.
“God gave me secrets to stop the operations of Boko Haram with the support of Nigeria Armed Forces. For years I have been saying the same thing. I have answer to the insurgents,” Adegboye said.
On the forthcoming general election, Adegboye urged President Muhammadu Buhari to respect the wish of the people and not hold on tenaciously to power if he doesn’t win.
Adegboye warned that a decision by Buhari not to relinquish power, if he loses, will provoke Nigerians and the military into staging a revolution.
Lamenting the failure of the political elite to steer the country aright, Adegboye said God was poised to take a very drastic decision, this year, to save this nation from revolution and unending crises.
“I appeal to His Excellency, President Buhari to bow to the wish of the people honorably and not allow certain people mislead Him.
“Mr. President has built enough trust and confidence of all Nigerians over the years, nobody should come and destroy this legacy of his Excellency through selfish counsels.
“This year is a year determined by God to take over Nigeria and very shortly power will change hands in this country.
“I appeal to President Buhari, not to do what will provoke Nigerians and the military into staging revolution in this country.
“Finally, all I see is that Nigerians have failed themselves, especially the political elites, so God is taking a very drastic decision this year to save this nation from revolution and unending crises,” Adegboye said.
