Bimbo Ademoye wins copyright battle over YouTube movie

Published by

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Bimbo Ademoye, has won a copyright dispute over her new YouTube film, ‘Where Love Lives’.

The case, which involved a claim on a song used in the movie, has been resolved in her favour, allowing the film to continue its run without restrictions.

Tribune Online reports that Bimbo’s legal challenge began when someone using a fake identity claimed ownership of a song in her film, which led to its demonisation.

She clarified that she had full rights to the music with the artist’s approval. The strike on the movie has now been lifted following the resolution.
