Be angry at life’s challenges —Cleric charges Christians

Published by

A cleric with the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Caxton Segun Fasuyi has charged  Christians not to accept life’s various challenges, as coming from God, but rather be ready to frontally confront such challenges through prayers.

I may consider political asylum — Ex US Secretary of States, Albright

Pastor Fasuyi, who made the charge at the 2018 Harvest Thanksgiving Service of the CAC, Victory Land, Pleasure District Headquarters, in Lagos, noted that the time had come for Christians to take their fate in their  hands by seeking God’s intervention in tackling the myriad of challenges facing them as Christians.

The CAC Worldwide Mission Director stated that the theme of the harvest, Thy Kingdom Come had become imperative since it was becoming increasingly obvious that humans, especially Christians, were becoming helpless in the face of challenges.

“Today’s Christians are gradually resigning themselves to fate. They are no longer angry about their situations.  But you need to be angry, spiritually,  and be ready to say no, through prayers, to life’s challenges before you can overcome them

“I think  that is one of the reasons we need such aluta prayer, such as Thy Kingdom Come, which is the theme of this harvest. This is because despite the fact  that human challenges and wants are on the increase, it is clear that God’s Kingdom must come before such needs can be addressed.

“It is the Lord that can direct our ways. We, as humans do not have the knowledge and the wisdom, to actually handle some of these problems on our own.  That is why I believe the Thy Kingdom Come prayer has become very important for every Christian, desirous of overcoming  their challenges,” he added.

While congratulating the church on the occasion of the harvest and the highly instructive theme of the harvest, Pastor Fasuyi however berated today’s Christians for being readily cowed by the challenges of the world, instead of taking spiritual steps to reject them.
