BBNaija’s DeeOne emerges BOOT party candidate for Lagos Assembly seat

Nigerian comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Aderombi Adedayo Martins, popularly known as DeeOne, has emerged as the BOOT Party candidate for Ibeju Lekki Constituency 1 in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The DeeOne BOOT Party candidate announcement followed the party’s primary election, where he secured the ticket to contest for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Speaking after his victory, DeeOne thanked members of the BOOT Party for supporting his candidacy. 

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, he described his emergence as a vote of confidence in his ability to represent the people of Ibeju Lekki Constituency 1.

He wrote, “I want to thank my party, BOOT party for the confidence in voting for me to emerge the winner of the primary election for Ibeju lekki constituency 1.”

The comedian also outlined how he intends to serve if elected in 2027, assuring constituents that he would focus on representing their interests.

“To Ibeju lekki constituency 1, come 2027 by the grace of God, I will be your worker and not your boss,” he said.
