No fewer than 425 National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students graduated from Bayelsa State Polytechnic, Aleibiri, during the institution’s maiden combined convocation held on Saturday in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Douye Diri, who attended the ceremony as visitor to the institution, commended the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for its support in developing tertiary education in the state, describing the agency as a dependable partner in educational advancement.

Diri reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to technical and vocational education, saying the government prioritises skills acquisition to produce self-reliant graduates.

The governor announced the approval of two Coaster buses for the institution and also approved the fencing of the school to improve security.
