Political office holders in Bauchi State have been enjoined to discharge their duties faithfully and in accordance with the country’s constitution in order to provide effective governance to the people.
The charge was given by the state governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir while Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of three newly appointed political officers, Ladan Salihu as Chief of Staff, Government House; Garba Dahiru as Commissioner and Amina Mohammed Katagum as Special Adviser and Focal Person for Social Investment program at Council Chambers, Government House Bauchi on Wednesday.
The Governor said that the operations of his administration will be guided in line with global best practices and in accordance with the basic principles of good governance and accountability.

According to him, despite the lack of resources, meagre internally generated revenue and other challenges facing the state, with their collective efforts, the administration will make the change required.
The governor also acknowledged the qualities of the sworn-in appointees and challenged them to be focused, sacrifice and engage in teamwork so as to achieve the desired objectives.
While speaking on behalf of others, the new Chief of Staff, government house, Dr Ladan Salihu pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them by being loyal and support to the Governor.
He commended the Governor for finding them worthy of the appointment which he opined is a responsibility placed on them to be part of the people who will actualise the mandate given to the Governor by the people of Bauchi State during the last general elections.
