Women in Bauchi state have been admonished to realise their full potentials in the society by using the little scarce resources at their disposal for self-reliance.
The call was made by the First Lady of Bauchi state, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed while distributing school materials to the Kanuri Youth Development Association and Global Awareness in Alkaleri local government Area of the state.
Aisha Bala Mohammed also used the gathering to challenge the teeming youths in the area to be good ambassadors wherever they found themselves and to eschew violence in all its ramifications.
She noted that no society will record any development without women and youth engaging in an entrepreneurship skill or small scale businesses to be able to sustain themselves and help others.
She also applauded the efforts of some youths and women by participating in petty businesses around their communities for self-reliance, saying that is a welcome development and caution them not to relent in human capital development.
In his remarks earlier, the Chairman Caretaker Committee of Alkaleri LGA, Yusuf Garba who was represented by his Deputy thanked the First Lady for the gesture and promised to utilize the materials for what it is meant for and support the policies and programs of the present administration in the state.

The Coordinator of the Muhibbah Foundation in Alkaleri, Bappa Aliyu, maintained that the teeming youths and women in the area are in support of the effort of the Governor’s Wife for providing succour to the less privileged within the society.
The beneficiaries also assured that they will use what is being provided by the foundation and her Excellency to encourage other women and youth in the area.
