Bandits have killed eight farmers in fresh attacks in Buruku and Udawa villages of Chikun Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the fresh attacks occurred on Saturday morning when the bandits attacked the villages resulting in the death of the farmers. While scores sustained serious injuries.
It would be recalled in recent times, the two villages located along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway have been under constant attacks by the bandits.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) ASP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident.
However, he said he cannot confirm the number of those killed as a detachment of police officers has been deployed to the scene to a certain the number of those killed as well as to maintain law and order.
