Oyo State governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, expressed shock at the sudden death of the Chief Registrar of the Oyo State High Court of Justice, Alhaja Fatimo Badrudeen, noting that her exit has created a huge vacuum in the judicial arm of government.
Makinde, through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa, bemoaned the loss of a vivacious and hardworking individual.
He prayed to God to grant repose to the soul of the deceased and also uphold the family she left behind.
Makinde also commiserated with the Chief Judge of the state, Honourable Justice Munta Abimbola and the members of the judiciary as well as members of the late Mrs Badrudeen’s family.
The statement read, “The news of the death of Alhaja Fatimo Badrudeen is saddening. It is a sad loss to Oyo State and a great blow to the Judiciary, where her vivacious and hardworking nature showed all through her career.
“I condole with the Chief Judge of the state, members of the Judiciary and the family Madam Badrudeen left behind.
“It is my prayer that God will uphold everyone she left behind.”
The late chief registrar was called to the Bar in 1993 and started her legal career around the same period, before joining the lower bench of the Oyo State Judiciary as a magistrate.
She later rose to become Chief Magistrate (Administration) before rising to the post of the Chief Registrar of the High Court.
