Atiku’ll end drift in leadership, revive economy ― Rep member

THE member representing Yagba federal constituency of Kogi state, Hon Sunday Karimi, had expressed assurance that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has the capacity to end drift in leadership in the country and also put its economy back on track.

He said this on Saturday at the commencement of a ward to ward campaign in the various wards of the constituency aimed at rallying support for the PDP ahead of the February 16 presidential and national assembly elections.

Karimi described the PDP as light compared to the All Progressives Congress (APC) that is darkness, lamenting the deplorable living of the people m under the present administration.

He said the welfare and living standard of the people had been relegated, with poverty and hardship as the APC trademark.

The two-term serving lawmaker aside using the ward visit to campaign for all the PDP candidates is equally using the visit to inaugurate some of his constituency projects.

The ward to ward rally which began today in Isanlu, Yagba east local government area witnessed the inauguration of a solar-powered borehole in ward 08 in Isanlu, was amidst jubilation as the people showered encomium on him for a worthy representation that has impacted their wellbeing and pledged their support for the PDP.

At Ofin ward 09, Karimi admonished the citizens to vote the PDP in all the elections, promising that Atiku, the party’s presidential flag bearer would get Nigeria working again if elected.

The lawmaker described Atiku as what the country needs to end the drift in the nation’s leadership, lamented that never has the nation lost a sense of direction as is presently witnessed.

He said the PDP is people friendly and humane while in governance, saying Yagba federal constituency had always been its stronghold and urged the people to come out en mass to vote and defend their votes on February sixteen.

At Irunda, Ward 9 in Isanlu, Hon Karimi canvassed for votes for the PDP senatorial and house of representative candidates, disclosing that the area has remained a dominant PDP area since the advent of democracy, urging them to sustain the feat and the winning streak to enable the area continue to enjoy democratic dividends.

Karimi tasked the people of the area to use their votes to end the hunger and poverty inflicted on them by the maladministration of the ruling APC in the state.

He however assured that the PDP would win overwhelmingly in the next Saturday’s election as the people having tested the PDP and the APC have come to realize that the PDP remains a party for development and prosperity.
