Former Governor of Sokoto state and the leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sokoto, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has appealed to the members of the party to continue to remain calm, peaceful and violence-free.
Senator Wamakko spoke at his Gawon Nama, Sokoto, residence, when he addressed a mammoth crowd of the members of the Party, shortly after his return from Abuja, together with the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi.
While commending the members of the party for their sustained resilience, perseverance and loyalty to the course of the party, Senator Wamakko also called on them to sustain their fervent prayers.

Prayers, he noted, are key to ensuring the success of the numerous struggles of the party and its members, with a view to ensuring that, all the injustices meted to them are urgently redressed.
Senator Wamakko further explained that, a stakeholders meeting of the party has been held in Abuja and it brainstormed on the current situation as regards some judgments of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto.
According to him,” the meeting was successfully conducted and we are optimistic that, in Sha Allahu, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”
