THE member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, Hon Olaide Olawale Akinremi, has appealed to his opponents across parties in the last elections, to sheath their swords and work with him, for the benefit of the Constituency and the State in general.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday over his electoral victory at the Ibadan Division of the Appeal Court, the lawmaker said, “I want to use this medium to appeal to other political parties to come to terms with our party APC and keep their sword to embrace peace in Ibadan North Federal Constituency because this victory is a victory of no victor, no vanquish, the victory is for all.”
The lawmaker who lauded the judiciary over the judgement thanked his constituents for their support at the 2019 National Assembly polls and promised to deliver the benefits of representation to them, in the course of his four years in the Green House of the National Assembly.

According to him, “Now, the time has come for us to see the effect of Next Level in Ibadan North Federal Constituency to begin like never before, to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
“We have begun; we will not stop, until all Ibadan Northerners receive their dividends, one by one, all we need is their prayers and cooperation and we will never let them down.”
Speaking further, the lawmaker described the current Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rule in Oyo State as a Caretaker arrangement, assuring that the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde would soon give way for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon Akinremi who insisted that Oyo State remained an APC State but for the crisis within the Progressives which made it lose. He said: “Yes, definitely, definitely! Oyo State is for the APC, but while Governor Seyi Makinde is taking care, I wish him success, we are taking it back come 2023.”
