FOR allegedly involved in human trafficking, Justice H.N. Ogunwunmiju of the Court of Appeal, Benin, Edo State has upheld the judgment of a Benin High Court which sentenced a lady, Joy Raji to four years imprisonment.
The convict who was slammed with a 3-count-charge of deceitful inducement, requiring a person to be used for forced labour and slave dealing contrary to Sections 19b, 22(1)(a) and 24(a) respectively, of the NATIP Act 2003( as amended) was earlier sentenced by Justice Alero Edodo-Eruaga of a Benin High Court.

Dissatisfied with the verdict of the lower court, the convicted human trafficker had approached the appellate court.
The appellant having dissatisfied with the decision of the lower Court appealed against it at the Court of Appeal.
Delivering judgement on the upholding judgement of the lower court in suit number A/B/460C, Justice Ogunwunmiju dismissed the appeal for lack of merit.
