ENGR. Abdullahi Audu Sule, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state, has promised that his administration would complete and commission the multi-billion naira Farin-ruwa Hydro Electric Power project if elected Governor of the state.

Engr. Sule who underscore the enormous benefits abound in the project when completed lamented how a gigantic project as the hydroelectric power that has the capacity to generate electricity to even neighbouring states was abandoned for many years.

He was addressing a crowd of APC supporters when the campaign team of Engr. A. A. Sule visited Wamba Local Government Area, said his government was coming to build lasting legacies that would benefit the people of the state.

“By the grace of God, if elected the governor if Nasarawa State March 2, I will complete and commission the Farin-ruwa project, as well as the road leading to the Farin-ruwa falls would be contracted to encourage tourists patronage and other investors”, he said.

He reiterated his determination to establish industries that will harness the solid mineral resources to better the lives of the people and to increase the revenue profile of the state.

He particularly said, “the story surrounding the hydropower project right from the time of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Aliyu Akwe Doma administrations, up to the time Governor Almakura handed the project to the federal government, will be a thing of the past.

According to Engr. Sule, “as an expert, I will not only renew the agreement entered with the federal government for the completion of the projects, my government will give it attention to ensure it is completed such that would address the unemployment challenges in the state.”

The state Deputy governor who stood-in for Governor Al -makura said that, the incoming government if in place would address and compensate Wamba people with political appointments, to cover the mistakes or political miscalculation in the 2019 election, where all seats to the National Assembly in the northern zone of the state went to a particular Local Government area.

He called on the people to vote all those flying APC flags in the forthcoming elections for continuity and sustainability in governance.
