A non-governmental organisation, Amazon Foundation, which focuses on supporting the underprivileged, celebrating icons, and upholding Nigeria’s cultural heritage and history, has harped on the importance of embracing and knowing Nigeria’s rich history.
The foundation, which was founded 18 years ago by dynamic veteran actress and musician, Dr Bose Olubo Adegeye, has taken the bull by the horns to educate the younger generation about the country’s rich history, visited the Alake and Paramount Ruler Of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, on Thursday, with others members of the foundation to share the vision with the traditional ruler.
Oba Gbadeboin response appreciated Amazon Foundation for its selfless and humanitarian services and promise to support the vision, and urged it not to relent in achieving its objectives.
The foundation also visited the Ajero of Ijero Ekiti, Oba Joseph Adebayo Adewole Arojojoye II, who noted that “it is only a foundation like Amazon Foundation, especially its passionate founder, Bose Olubo-Adegeye that can do justice to enhancement and promotion of our culture and tradition.”
The Ewi of Ado- Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, also hosted the foundation last Sunday, with his royal chiefs.
Earlier, members of Amazon Foundation visited the Alaaye of Efon Alaaye, Obalufon Alayemore and Oba Emmanuel Adesanya Aladejare Agunsoye II, who is incidentally the monarch of the founder’s hometown.
