Retired General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Prophet S. K. Abiara has warned all accusers of the embattled general overseer of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo against being judgmental.
Reacting to the Fatoyinbo and Busola Dakolo rape scandal, Abiara in a statement made available to Tribune Online on Monday, posited that that only God was the true witness of what happened between the two parties, so, people must not be quick to pass their judgment on what transpired.
Though he described the allegation as one that left a sour taste on the Christian fold, Abiara counselled Fatoyinbo to communicate with God to iron things out and seek restoration.
Pointing to biblical instances of many who sinned and sought mercy, Abiara enjoined Fatoyinbo to seek God’s forgiveness and ask for the way out.
Noting that men of God were bound to face storms, he urged members of COZA not to abandon their church but stand by their pastor till the storm is over.
The statement read, in parts: “On the recent allegation of rape flying all over the media, as noted that the incident happened about 20 years ago between the senior Pastor of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo and Busola Dakolo, the wife of a popular Nigeria artiste Timi Dakolo and some other women.
“I want everybody to be very careful because God is all-knowing. He is the true witness of what actually happened between them. The word of God says we must not judge anybody.

“My counsel to the man of God, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is to go before God and iron things out. I believe God will talk to him and restore him.
“On the other hand, all accusers must seek God because it is not good to do anything that will damage the Church of God.
“All accusers against the body of Christ and the man of God must be careful not to be judgmental. Let God himself intervene.
“God is watching you. The way your shadow follows you wherever you go so is God close to you.
“All accusers and those that carry fake news on social media, you must be very careful not to cause havoc in the body of Christ and the ministry of men of God.
“To all members of COZA Assembly Worldwide, it is a challenging time for your Church and the man of God.
“This is not the time to leave the church or abandon the man of God because of the entire allegations against your pastor.
“It is time to bring to memory how his life and ministry has been a blessing to many lives.
“Though it is very cloudy and stormy, I promise that the storm will soon be over. It is good to stand by your Pastor.
