Ahead of Gov Siminalayi Fubara’s 50th birthday

On the 28th of January, 2025, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi “Sim” Fubara will clock 50 and this in under no smaller tone is spreading excitement around his state. The event, predicted to be a grand affair, will draw dignitaries from across Nigeria to honour a leader whose life and career have been marked by service, dedication, and impact.

Governor Fubara,  despite the dramatic fallout with his godfather, Nyesom Wike has garnered praises for his forward-thinking policies and commitment to the development of Rivers State, and as he reaches his golden jubilee, the people of the state are seizing the opportunity to reflect on his journey, celebrate his achievements, and show their willingness to support him in the future.

Born on 28 January, 1975 in Opobo Town, Fubara’s story is one of resilience and determination. He rose through the ranks of public service, culminating in his appointment as the Accountant-General of Rivers State before transitioning into politics.

His tenure as governor has been marked by strategic investments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, as well as efforts to enhance security and attract investors to the state.

The birthday festivities are expected to include a Thanksgiving service, a charity outreach, and a gala dinner. The Thanksgiving service will see religious leaders and well-wishers come together to offer prayers of gratitude for the governor’s life and achievements.
