Agrotop to construct large-scale breeding farm in Nigeria

A leading global player in livestock turnkey projects, Agrotop, has made known its intention to build a large-scale pullet and breeding farm for Agrited, Nigeria’s leading supplier of poultry products.

The newly built Blue Plains Farm located in Ibadan, Oyo State, will accommodate six Environmental Control (EC) breeder pullet houses, 12 EC producing breeder houses, three male houses, a state-of-the-art super-modern hatchery with a hatching capacity of more than 2 million eggs, a modern EC chicks dispatch house and 7 hectares of logistic village.

Speaking on the development, Agrotop’s Chief Marketing Officer and founding partner, Gavriel Pelleg, expressed delight at the consistent partnership with Agrited, adding that “Agrited has set new norms in the Nigerian poultry market, offering high quality chicken that meets the highest international standards.”

Also speaking, Managing Director of Agrited, Chaim Zach said, “Agrotop is a natural partner for an African and international leading poultry breeder such as Agrited Nigeria. After years of experience, we can easily state that Agrotop is an undisputed leader in the design and engineering of livestock concepts.”

With the completion of two EC pullet houses accommodating about 23,000 Ross 308 pullet, Agrotop will build another four EC breeder houses, a latest technology professional hatchery with a Pasreform hatching system and a chicks’ dispatch house, to complete the first phase of the development.

Agrotop which provides full range services for realizing livestock and agro-industry construction projects, has also completed other projects for Agrited in Nigeria, such as the Yola Project in Northern Nigeria.

The firm alongside its partner companies, LIVEgg and Poultrix, will present a full line of innovative solutions for the poultry industry at VIV Asia 2019, which will take place at Bitec, on the 13th to 15th of March in Bangkok.
