There was another attack on Katsina Alla community between Sunday and Monday (yesterday) as militia armed with gun attacked Abaver and Tse Jabi areas of Katsina Alla local in Benue State where five people were killed.
Both Abaver and Tse Abi communities were situated close to the College of Education (COE), Katsina-Ala.
An eyewitness spoke with TribuneOnline correspondent that the militia also mistakenly shot at a woman.
“The militia who were speaking in Tiv dialect said they were instructed not to shoot at women and children.

“The casualty figure would have been higher had residents of the communities not got wind of the attack and moved out of the area.”
“As a result of the attack, several people have been Displaced and now. taking refuge in surrounding communities, particularly, Katsina-Ala township.”
It was learnt that the situation had thrown the town and indeed, the College of Education (COE), Katsina-Ala community into a turmoil as most of the students staying off campus in the affected communities have taken refuge on campus, which is yet to come under attack.
As at the time of filing this report, the command spokesman, DSP Catherine Anene said she could not confirm the Monday report except the killing in the community on Saturday.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the constant killing was responsible for the imposition of curfew by the government.
