SUSPECTED cultists have again killed yet to be identified man in Oke Agbo area of Ijebu Igbo, in Ijebu North Local Government, on Sunday.
This development has brought the number of people killed as a result of cult violence to seven in the last one week.
Nigerian Tribune recalls that six people lost their lives last week as a result of violence that happened between members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and a cult group.
The Sunday incident happened following an argument that ensued during a football match at LA Primary School, in Oke Agbo area of the town.
The victim was said to have been hacked to death while his assailants fled the scene of the incident.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the killing.
Oyeyemi said more police operatives have been deployed to complement the effort of those already on ground in the troubled town.
He, however, said that normalcy had been restored to the town.
