…unveils industrial hub
A renowned philanthropist, Prince Mujaid Olaleken Adeyemi, has donated a mosque to the Epe community in Lagos and unveiled an industrial hub in the Lekki axis as a means of facilitating growth and economic development of the area.
According to his media office in Lagos, the gestures formed part of activities marking his 60th birthday and efforts at giving back to the community and enhancing human capital development.
The mosque, named Alhaja Nofiat Adetoun Adeyemi Central Mosque, is equipped with Islamic media/production studios for recording, video production and livestreaming in Epe, Lagos State.
Dignitaries at the event included prominent Islamic scholars, including Sheikh Sulaiman Faruq Onikijipa (OON) and Fadeelatul Sheikh Abdulahi Arademi, who served as guest speakers during the mosque unveiling in Epe.
Speaking at the occasion, the Oloja of Epeland, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, who was the royal father of the day, underscored the harmonious blend of Islamic faith, human capital development, and tradition that underlined celebrations.

He urged other well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture of the donor towards accelerating the pave of socioeconomic development and strengthening the moral fabric of the society.
On his part, Adeyemi cited President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and his late mother’s wishes as the driving inspiration behind the twin projects.
“The inspiration behind the mosque, most especially, is our mum. That’s what she really wanted, and we worked it together before she was late. But unfortunately, she isn’t around to experience the unveiling. That was the big inspiration behind the mosque because she kept on urging us every day to always be together while she was still alive. Well, we give thanks to Almighty Allah and may her soul rest in peace.”
On the industrial hub, Prince Adeyemi emphasised its people-centred focus: “Mercury industrial hub which was launched today is for the masses to create employment. Thank God for our President who believes in the growth of the local economy. We tend to use the hub to produce furniture so that we can export them outside the country instead of importing.”
He also spoke on the nexus between national policies and local initiatives, stressing: “The moment President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came in and I saw his Renewed Hope Agenda that he has for the masses, I had to tap into the idea to create industrial hub for our people to create jobs, to ease the pains of the masses within the locality.”
On personal achievements, Adeyemi noted that he could not ‘say there’s any success story for now until we can elevate others while alleviating poverty” adding: “That’s when I can say I have a success story and by the grace of Almighty Allah, we will keep uplifting lives. You can’t measure your success story except when people around you testify to your life-changing influence.”
