THE Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has said it is saddened and pained by the sad news of the execution of another aid worker, Hauwa Amina Liman by the Boko Haram terrorists.
It would be recalled that Hauwa and two other aid workers with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) were abducted by the terrorists about six months ago during an attack on the military base in Rann, Borno State, and have since then been in their captivity.
Earlier, one of the aid workers kidnapped named Saifura Hussaini Ahmed was killed by the terrorists on the grounds that the Federal Government (FG) failed to meet up some of their demands, the same fate befell Hauwa.
In a statement issued to the press on Tuesday and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim Biu noted that the action of the terrorists to say the least was callous, barbaric and inhuman and totally against the tenets of Islam.

‘The killing is clear desecration of Islam which preaches sacred inviolability of the individual.
To this end, the statement maintained that it is saddened that inspite of the Federal Government’s assurances that it is working with some friendly countries and other international organisations to save the lives of the innocent aid workers, it has not yielded the desired result.
“ACF, therefore, urged the FG to review its negotiation strategy and ensure that the other aid worker, Leah Sharibu and the Chibok girls still in the captivity of the Boko Haram are rescued and released to their families.
The FG should not wait for deadline from the terrorists before taking necessary actions to rescue them, noting, ‘ Any actions by the FG and the allies on this issue should be quick in order to assuage the fears of Nigerians of what may happen to those still in captivity.
ACF also extended its condolences to the families of Hauwa and Saifura who were brutally executed by the terrorists for serving humanity and equally commiserates with the families of those still captivity.

Before we get carried away by the euphoria of Atiku’s emergence as the presidential candidate for the PDP, let’s sit down and interrogate some certain issues. I don’t want a situation whereby we fall for the same gimmick of 2015. first let me unequivocally state that I am a 100% against the reelection of PMB. not in my dreams and never in my reality. I am totally in support of Atiku’s bid as president, not because Atiku is the best candidate but he has shown that he has the human and leadership capacity to give the Nigerian people a better deal than PMB and APC are giving us today. But I am not a gullible Nigerian who will clap at every political promises made by a politician. sir Winston Churchill said and I quote, “Politicians do not believe what they say and they are quit surprise, when people believe them”. so all this promise of restructuring and job creation, economic advancement and the rest that Mr Atiku is promising us he would do if elected president, I want to see a plan, a blue print and a time frame on how he intends to achieve those promises. let us begin to ask questions and let’s start extracting concrete affirmation from him that he will do all he is promising to do. I know without any doubt in my heart, that Atiku will win. I will seriously campaign for him. my dad who was a die hard supporter of Buhari had shifted ground. some friends and colleagues that I know who supported Buhari in 2015 are now shifting ground. Buhari no doubt is a monumental failure. but let us be very rigid and firm in our demands for a better Nigeria from Atiku.
