Aare Musulumi greets Christians at Easter

The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, has felicitated Christians in Oyo State and, indeed, Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations.

Alhaji Akinola, in a message, admonished all religious leaders to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure peace and development in the country.

The Muslim leader urged all citizens and Christians, in particular, to use this period to reflect on the lessons of Easter and imbibe the virtues of Christ for the betterment of the Nigerian society.

According to him, there is the need for all and sundry to exhibit the spirits love, sacrifice, selflessness, among other qualities embodied by Jesus, in their daily lives for the country to experience the favour of God and be cured of all of its afflictions, social, economic and political.

He prayed for the for continued unity, growth and development of the country.
