
LARGE turnout of Party members was witnessed during the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential primaries in Kaduna State.
In most of the voting centres at the state metropolis, the exercise was carried out peacefully as party members affirmed the candidacy of President Muhammadu Buhari.
At the Gabasa voting centre held at LEA primary school Unguwar Rimi the returning officer, Alh Aminu Kudan raised the picture of the President and the tumultuous crowd shouted Sai Buhari! He asked the crowd, do you agree that Buhari should be our Presidential candidate in 2019 and they shouted ‘Yes’.
Kudan, therefore, affirmed that based on the powers conferred on him as the returning officer in the ward he had affirmed the decision of the ward.
In his own remark, el-Rufai thanked the party members for the support given to the President, saying, if he gets back to the office, he will communicate to the President the decision of the people of Kaduna.

He told the party men and women that he doesn’t want what happened in Osun to repeat itself, saying, our party members didn’t come out to exercise their franchises they assume since they have the government in the state the election will be won on a platter of Gold.

‘So I don’t want such to repeat itself. I am pleading with you to come out en masse to elect him again in 2019.
Checks revealed that accreditation of party members began in all the 23 local government areas of the state as early as 8 am.
