Speaking further on the accident, an Assistant Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Mrs Amobi Stanley, who confirmed the accident, said it occurred Saturday afternoon.

She explained that men of the corps arrived the scene of the accident at about 1.59 p.m. for rescue operations and discovered that six of the passengers died on the spot, while 12 others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
