CAC owns ‘Odun n lo sopin’

The ace gospel singer, Mama Deborah Fasoyin, has disclosed that the evergreen Christmas song, Odun n lo sopin (The year is ending), is owned by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide.

She explained that the singing team that she led in Ibadan , the CAC Good Women Choir, only composed and added some verses to the song.

Mama Fasoyin spoke with Friday Treat in Ibadan on Sunday at a musical concert themed Dansaki (God is awesome) and hosted by Pastor Bimbo Adeniji of Grace Life Christian Assembly, Samonda, Ibadan.

When asked why she has not been seen on the social scene in Ibadan for some time, Mama Fasoyin said she relocated to Lagos to take care of her grandchildren.

The gospel singer who wondered why everybody was referring to her as Mama, said she was a sweet sixteen at only 77 years.

Although she attends Daystar Church in Lagos, Mama Fasoyin who claimed she is still a member of the CAC, however noted that there is no denomination in heaven.

She, therefore, implored all Christians to be more committed to the word of God. “God is the key and with God, things will be better for them.”

On Pastor Adeniji and her programme Dansaki, Mama Fasoyin described Dansaki as a very interesting programme,  adding that Pastor Bimbo really tried, saying that she would go places.
