29 arrested in connection with vandalisation of Buhari’s praise singer’s residence in Kano

No fewer than 29 suspects believed to be hoodlums were arrested by the Kano State Police Command in connection with criminal conspiracy, mischief and theft.

Speaking with pressmen, the command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said they were suspected to have vandalised the residence of the famous president Buhari, Bola Tinubu and top Nigerian politicians’ praise singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara and also vandalized the All Progressive Congress APC office and looted some Properties in the name of celebrating the fall of the APC in Kano.

He disclosed that the suspended thugs who went berserk according to the police looted both the residence of Rarara which is located at Hausawa Layout Zoo road, the office of some prominent northern entertainment association known as 13×13.

According to him, the hoodlums burnt and destroyed parts of the office building stole two Motor Vehicles belonging to Rarara, looted, destroyed properties worth Millions of Naira, and also attacked other four commercial shops owned by four different people.

SP Kiyawa also disclosed that another group of hoodlums also attacked the APC State Secretariat office along Hotoro quarters in Kano, destroyed parts of the building and looted properties.

He, however, stated that immediately, when the suspended hoodlums went haywire, the Teams of Operation Restore Peace and firefighters were mobilised to the scenes during the destruction where the fire was brought under control and normalcy was restored.
