2027 elections: Imo PDP ready for victory — Anyanwu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Imo State has declared that they are prepared and ready to emerge victorious in the 2027 Governorship election with the coming together of all in peace

National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu disclosed this on Saturday while addressing an enlarged State Executive Committee, LGA Chairmen, Ward Leaders, Women leaders and critical stakeholders of the party during the stakeholders’ meeting held at the party Secretariat, Okigwe road, Owerri.

He said: “Imo people are tired, frustrated and deceived by the present administration to the extent that Imo citizens have lost confidence in the government”

Anyanwu insisted that the only better alternative political party in Imo State is the PDP adding that his joy is that PDP is well positioned, astute and popular to win the 2027 election in Imo.

He said that the Supreme Court has settled all political problems in the party and affirmed him the authentic National Secretary of PDP, while urging aggrieved members to shelve their swords and embrace peace for the success of the party.

He afirmed the current leadership of the party in the state for doing well especially in the areas of galvanizing the people, making peace and creating good platforms for the party’s victory.

The PDP National Secretary expressed confidence in the ward, LGA Chairmen, women, leaders and stakeholders adding that they are doing exceptionally well to create good image for our party.

He said: ” What am seeing today has convinced me that PDP is formidable and we’ll prepared to take over the state in 2027″

While the state leadership is busy doing its best to unite the party and make it more attractive, Anyanwu appealed to members work assiduously to sensitize those at the grassroot as part of effortss to promote membership drive.

PDP National Scribe disabused the minds of people who think that the party belongs to one person or some cabal, adding that as a party with an organic followership, all interested members should be allowed to join.

He said: “As a member of the party, I can’t declare my interest to run for Governorship for now, every qualified and popular member of our party is free to contest Governorship or any position he seems fit.

“This is because our party is well organized without any legal destraction in the state”

He described it as worrisome that those who betrayed the party in the past are suffering it today adding that most of them are stranded now, while some are begging to be allowed into our party.

He however commended all state, ward, LGA and zonal leaders of the party for organising PDP in such a way it should be, and promised to continue to support the party at all times.
