2024 Grammys: ‘You’re our winners’, fans celebrate Davido despite losses

Fans of Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, have taken to social media to shower him with praise despite losing all of his three nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards.

Davido lost out to Tyla’s ‘Water’ in the Best African Music category, Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia’s ‘Pashto’ in the Best Global Music Performance category, and Shakti’s ‘The Moment’ in the Best Global Album category at the event held in Los Angeles, United States, on Sunday.

 

 However, despite the losses, fans of the ‘Unavailable’ crooner flocked to social media to show their support. They emphasize that Davido remains the best regardless of Grammy wins.

 

Celebrating Davido on X @UTDtrey wrote, “Grammy means nothing, forever the GOAT❤️.”

 

Another user, @OGBdeyforyou tweeted, “One love 001, Grammy or no Grammy you’re the best ❤️👏🏾.”

 

“I stand with Davido, I believe he will come back bigger and bigger.” @_egungunn tweeted.

 

@untouchablecmdy wrote, “We love you 001. We go again….”

 

“Grammy or not, you’re still the biggest in the industry. My 🐐”  @Anthonystilldey opined.
