2019: Gombe PDP launches state rally, vows to win elections again
ALL is now set for the commencement of the Gombe State Campaign Flag Off in Kaltungo by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as it vows to win all the available positions again in the forthcoming general elections.
The PDP has never lost the election in Gombe State since 2003 when it won an election against an incumbent All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) administration of Late Alhaji Abubakar Habu Hashidu.
According to the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Campaign Council, Dahiru Hassan Kera, the winning chain cannot be broken during their own generation.
He told our correspondent that all roads lead to the Olusegun Obasanjo Township Stadium in Kaltungo LGA of the state, venue of the campaign launch where all has been set in place for a peaceful and successful electioneering campaign in Gombe State.
Hassan Kera also said that “what will be witnessed today in Kaltungo is the beginning of another road to successful elections where the PDP is expected to cruise to victory in all the elections.”
He boasted that the PDP has been firmly rooted in the hearts of the people of Gombe State and his committee is not taking to chance any opportunity to maintain that trust and win all election beginning from 16th February to 2nd March 2019.
He pointed out that even with the APC tsunami in 2015 that swept away many States in the country especially in the North, the people of Gombe still trusted the PDP and returned it to power because of the many people-oriented programmes, policies and projects put in place by the Gov Dankwambo administration.
“We in the PDP are very much ready for this election even if it will commence now. We have completed our groundwork, we just want to meet the people to reassure them of our commitment,” Hassan Kera explained.
Party stalwarts expected to grace the campaign launch include PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal among others.
