THE official presentation of the 2019 Budget proposal Bill to the joint sitting of the National Assembly came to end just now without normal rituals
The normal rituals include the remarks of the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, who is also the Chairman of the National Assembly and the voting of thanks by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara among others.
This followed the seeming unruly behaviour of the lawmakers who stood up to boo and jeer President Muhammadu Buhari immediately after the end of his address while some of the lawmakers displayed various placards to express their displeasures over the presentation.

Both the Senate President and the Speaker of the House Representatives sat speechless, watching the unruly development while the rattled Clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Sani Attaba- Omolori who sat near President had to stand up from his seat to see how he could save the situation.
However, at this stage, the House Leader, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila approached the high table to consult with the Speaker while the APC lawmakers were shouting for more years.
As this was going on, the National Anthem came up which signalled the end of the ceremony without the normal rituals.
After this, the Clerk of the National Assembly approached President Buhari who was no longer comfortable with the development and advised him to turn round and exchanged pleasantry with Presiding officers which he quickly obliged.
President Buhari even at a stage advised the agitating the lawmakers to allow him to read his address, saying that they were more than unruly behaviours.
Two members of the House of Representatives had earlier been prevented from exchanging blows at the commencement of the budget presentation.
