Oye told journalists that General Paul Gbor and Jerry Chukwueke would be presented on October 7 as presidential candidate and running mate, respectively ahead of the February election.
Findings revealed that since its inception the opposition party had only fielded the late Odumegwu Ojukwu as its presidential candidate in 2003 while it adopted the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2011 and 2015.
Oye who was silent on the mode of primary the party would adopted in picking its candidates for elections, assured that the process would be free and fair.
He noted that the membership drive in APGA was to ensure that the Party attain its desired national spread.

He said: ” It is no longer speculation that we have a presidential aspirant, who will be unveiled after our convention. APGA is soaring higher and higher because our vision is to produce a united Nigeria.
” We shall conduct free, fair and credible primary. We remain one united family. We believe that by opening the party for everybody to join we remain one united family
We call on all Nigerians to join us build a party that will inspire an egalitarian society. We believe that very soon, not too long from now God will take Nigeria to the apogee of development.”
