Pure Heart Foundation sensitises would-be mothers
The Pure Heart Islamic Foundation of Nigeria (PHF) has urged future mothers to show up and be up to the task as they are the ones the world is looking up to fill the social, moral, religious, professional and other vacuums in the society.
The Director, Hijab Right Advocacy Initiative, Hajiya Mutiat Orolu-Balogun, said this in a keynote address delivered at the third edition of Pure Heart Annual Sisters’ Summit (PASS), held recently in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Orolu-Balogun urged the female youths who attended the event to be resilient in pursuing their dreams, saying, “This is what Islam requires of you as Muslim sisters.”
In an address, the female coordinator of PHF in Oyo State, Hajiya Shakirat Bamigbade, reiterated the importance of protecting the right of Muslim girls to wear hijab.
“Underneath the hijab lies the best brain that the nation needs presently and in the near future,” she noted, saying that the government should provide equal opportunity for the education of the girl-child at all levels, irrespective of ethnicity or religion.
This year’s edition of the summit tagged “The World Awaits You” was aimed at sensitising female Muslim youths to the enormous nation building tasks ahead of them.
The summit was graced by personalities from all walks of life, including schools, Muslim organisations and the media.
