Only 3 LGs received complete election materials in Kaduna ― PDP

THE People’s Democratic Party (PDP)  has raised the alarm that only 3 local government councils out of the 23 local government councils in the state have received complete election materials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as of Thursday afternoon.

Speaking in a news conference in Kaduna on Thursday, the state chairman of the PDP, Hassan Hyat disclosed that the three local government councils were Igabi, Ikara and Kajuru.

He said the party was reliably informed by their party’s loyalists who were stationed in each local government headquarters to monitor the distribution of the INEC materials.

Hyet, who was a former Minister of Aviation, remarked that the party had officially written to INEC and waiting for their response.

“Let me at this juncture inform the public that as of this afternoon (Thursday), INEC has distributed election materials to all the twenty-three (23) Local Government Areas out of which only three (3) have received complete materials.

“We have however notified the electoral body officially. We will keep the public informed as INEC responses to our observations. We assure INEC of our support and call for complete openness in their activities to achieve smooth and successful elections.
