Oyo PDP gov candidate warns against harassment of voters
The governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde, has warned the All Progressive Congress (APC), to desist from attempts to lure voters into releasing their voter cards to government agents.
In a release from his campaign organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the PDP flag-bearer said the alleged plot would not succeed because the people have seen through the desperation of the ruling party
Makinde also accused the ruling party of conniving with Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency to destroy billboards belonging to the opposition in the state, noting that such connivance would fail.
Oyelade further stated that the imprint of the Oyo PDP governorship standard bearer was in the mind of the people and assured that they would ensure his victory at the governorship election next year.
He said the large number of people that attended the South West presidential campaign, held in Ibadan on Thursday, was a pointer to the popularity of the party’s candidates in the zone, particularly Seyi Makinde and its presidential flag-bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
